Jam

An AI-assisted file browser that replaces Finder.

Mac app + Finder Sync extension · Requires macOS 13 or later

What it does

A faster, smarter way to browse, tag, and manage files without leaving the keyboard.

AI auto-tagging

Analyzes a photo or video and suggests descriptive keywords — subjects, colors, mood, setting — so your library stays searchable without manual tagging.

Real Finder tags

Reads and writes the same colored tags Finder uses, so anything you tag in Jam shows up in Finder too, and vice versa.

Folder sync & diff

Builds a full add/update/delete plan between two folders before touching anything, with an optional mirror mode for exact one-way copies.

Git status, right on the tile

A built-in Git plugin badges files and folders with staged, modified, untracked, or conflicted status — no terminal required.

Video markers

Drop timestamped notes directly on a video file. Markers travel with the file itself, so they survive moves and copies.

"Open in Jam" from Finder

A Finder Sync extension adds a toolbar button and context menu entry to jump straight from any Finder window into Jam.
